Carol Cheng and Lui Fong Hosts The TVB Anniversary Press Conference Ceremony
Generates Publicity for “Jade Singers Celebrate TVB”

To celebrate TVB’s 39th Anniversary, the Jade Singers Celebrate TVB will be held on 4th November. TVB has invited Carol Cheng and Lui Fong (her long time boyfriend) to host the show, thus generating publicity for it. Lui Fong who hasn’t appeared for some time seemed to be a bit uncomfortable. He has to hosts with his girlfriend and was also teased by soon-to-be-married Hacken who asked him to get married together with him. Lui Fong just said “You (Hacken) first.”
Leaders Andy Lau and Kelly Chen did not appear, thus Hacken and Joey became the leaders. Jenny Tseng and Kenny Bee will also take part in the performance that night. Yesterday at the press conference, male and females singers appeared in red and white respectively. The most eye-catching was Joey who appeared in a backless top. Eason was busy with trying to pose as a photographer. There was only Hacken who sat there quietly in the first row.
Carol Cheng and Lui Fong appeared for the first time as a couple hosting a show and thus became the focus of attention. Carol held Lui Fong’s hand when they walked out and Carol commented “You are also quite smart to have me as a close friend. But I don’t understand why you still took it on despite knowing that you would lose.” Lui Fong just answered “How can I lose?”
When the female singers took to the stage, the male singers started boo-ing them. Hacken stood up to aknowledged that he was the one who started it. Carol rebuked him by saying “You are going to be a groom soon, go accumulate some goodwill!”. Hacken then cheekily said to Carol and Lui Fong “Get married together la!”
Lui Fong’s reply was to say that Hacken will definitely get married earlier than me. Carol then smiled and said "Listen to his nonsense. He is very mixed up, must be that he has not been in front of such a big crowd for some time."
