November 1, Wednesday, Is Hacken Concert Hall 2 release date, last week was very lucky, Hacken did an interview with avbuzz.com, talking about the new album. Three Stars, is the topic of Hacken Concert Hall 2, Three Stars meaning is our Hong Kong people's id three stars. The main content in the album revolves around everything that happen in Hong Kong.
This time Hacken picked Korea as the place to record the album, greatly stressed that it was not because of the great success from previous, and they added to the fees to record outside of Hong Kong. But in fact, Hacken wanted in the second album, he wanted to find instruments that was rarely used in the first album or in previous albums. Harpist is what he wanted in the second album, and coincidently among the talented harpist, Korea's Guo Ching also have contract under Universal, therefore if we plan the collaboration with Hacken, it will make it much easier. With the aid of Korean musicians, saxophone, accordian, Korea drums... Korea recording studio Koyang Culture City Hall "Harmony Theatre", created an album for Hong Kong, is also the reason for coming to Korea for recording.

Wholeheartedly Singing
In the Concert Hall 1, Hacken has songs that was written by him and composed by him, on the second one, with Hong Kong as the main point, Hacken doesn't want to add in his own viewpoint into it, only hope to bring out the things that happen to you, me, and him, and not the things that happen to Hacken himself, therefore this time he was not involved in the lyrics or the composing parts, this part was left to Lam Jik, Wyman Wong, and Chan Siu Kei to do, Hacken will wholeheartedly do the singing part.

Three Days Finish Recording
Hong Kong production staff and Hacken, flew to Korea, using only three days time, finished the whole album's recording. Just listening seems rushed, but in fact the preparation work in Hong Kong took a lot of time, close to 9 months of preparation work, before leaving, Hacken rehearsed continually for each song, after arriving, everyone only needs to do well in their part and it is good, therefore with only three days and finished recording, and also was able to record each song with 2-3 takes each for choosing, and Hacken thought that each time the second take was the best.

Great Emphasis is not "Crazy Fanatic Album"
During the interview, Hacken emphasized that Concert Hall 2 is not one of those "Crazy Fanatic Album", its an high standard album that falls in between crazy fanatic and Original album. I hope everyone will see its point of high standard, and not a crazy fanatic album.

Not Dual Disc
After the experience from last time, I know in the market there is 10% of families with stereo systems that can play Dual Disc format, therefore this time we won't use the Dual Disc format, and also this time there is more content, it was changed to dual sound: CD and 5.1 Sound DVD double disc. And for DVD Single side dual layer DVD-9 disc, the sound still is DTS 96/24.

Recommend Songs
As the company have recommend in the music, for the harpist "Sky Water City", is Hacken's favorite among all the other songs. Among the others, "Hong Kong Son" and "Buddies" is also among Hacken's favorite. From now until the album is released still have some time, wishing that the date of release will come sooner, hope to let everyone know the results.

In Conclusion
Don't know why, when we released Concert Hall 1, constantly hear people say it is high clear form, I really don't understand why they think the album is high clear form, this time the second album, the filming part, is same in DVD format, only this time we used top equipment for the recording, in the end when it is released to public for purchasing, it will be in recording DVD format. Last time the filming, the recording picture, to a fanatic like me, I was not very satisfied, hope this time we can learn from last experience, to do a better job on the recording picture. But if everyone have seen the Master Tape, should know that the high-clear form had no problem at all, actually for me I am very very satisfied, Only after changing to DVD format, don't know why it lead me to think it is not so good, hope this time will not have the same problem. When I get to watch this at my home theatre, when it is the harpist playing, I only want to see what is happening with the harpist, after playing the song her forehead will be full of sweat, having the work hard feeling, can feel the song's power. i really like this shirt he's wearing---the color, the style, and it says 'i am very experienced'. lol.
i didn't have any problem playing the dual disc. maybe cuz i played it on my computer. but was also able 2 play it on my discman.
though i like how he's really making good music instead of K songs like every1, i'm a little afraid this will mean less young fans will buy the cd cuz it's leaning towards classical music more...i hope this is it, though, no Concert Hall 3, cuz then it will get boring and spending so much $$$ and time on it...
but sales were great last time, so hopefully this time will be the same or BETTER!!
